Pyramid at the Cascine

While visiting the Cascine park in Florence you will find more than the green scenery. In the middle of the park, you will find a pyramid that was built in 1796 by the Grand Duke Ferdinando III architect.

During that time, the park also had other buildings, fountains, and even an amphitheater constructed. The pyramid purpose was an ice room to store dairy products, and ice during the summer season.

In 2009, it was restored so that people can still appreciate its beauty and history, today.
