Bettina Schindler is a restorer from Austria who later moved to Florence to pursue her interest in the restoration of art. She now works very closely with the aesthetically admired material of ivory. The material has long been treasured for its delicacy and the beauty in it’s ageing.
Her intricate expertise in crafting the material has granted her the opportunity to work on pieces displayed in the Palazzo Pitt, Bargello, and private commissions. Most recently, she revived a 19th century Japanese piece using materials which she has collected over the course of her career as a restorer.
