If you love shopping, Florence is the place for you. In addition to the many markets throughout the city, there are also countless shops with brands you might recognize from home. Stores in Florence range from extremely high end to a bit more affordable. Pricey shops are located throughout florence specifically because many famous designer brands originated in Florence. Salvatore Ferragamo’s headquarters and store is conveniently located on the banks of the Arno. Behind Ferragamo’s building is the Ferragamo shoe museum, which showcases the brand’s most famous models dating back to the early 20th century. If you are looking to shop around in different high-end stores, Via Tornabuoni – much like New York City’s fifth avenue – is the place for you. Here you will find Pucci, Gucci, Prada, Dior, Armani amongst others. You can even buy high-end designer coffee at Cavali Cafe!

However, there are many more affordable stores within the city. Located near Piazza della Repubblica, you can find more affordable clothing and goods. Via del Corso and Via Calzaiuoli are two streets nearby which are lined with clothing, jewelry, and other stores that won’t leave your wallet empty. So take a stroll around the city center and shop around for gifts for friends and family, even yourself.
