Studio Bastioni restoration in Florence

In 2005 a group of conservators and restorers from different backgrounds decided to start Studio Bastioni. Their thoughts were that by working together they could overcome the problems they commonly faced by sharing their expertise and knowledge. With this approach, restorers are able to save both time and money.

Here, many of artwork being restored is contemporary art. Contemporary artists use unstable materials, and the owner, who has paid a lot of money, wants the artwork to last. It is then, that they turn to Studio Bastioni that focuses on this type of restoration.

In the future the association hopes to join other networks worldwide to share knowledge and expertise on a broader level.
